Although Jan Black is located near Charlotte NC, she has travelled from coast to coast to take photos for pleasure or for hire. She specializes in capturing moments, lifestyle and scenery. Her versatility shows in her ability to wait for and capture nature at its best, or the quick eye to save a fleeting moment of a special day, activity or event.
Capturing a lifestyle or event photo can often convey a message to a viewer when words cannot. This is often used for experiential tourism & marketing projects.
Jan's photography art is displayed and for sale at several businesses in the Lake Norman area including the Visit Lake Norman Visitor's Center in Cornelius, NC, The BrickHouse Tavern, Main Street Books and Wooden Stone Gallery in Davidson NC.
Her photography was selected for the juried Art on the Green & Davidson Gallery Crawl in 2012, 2013 & 2014. She had her own single artist show - Lake Norman Sunsets, Sailboats & Scenery - showcasing 48 pieces in the Cornelius Arts Center.
